The Outbreak Project
April 6 - 30, 2021

Outbreak is defined as a sudden or violent increase in activity, eruption, upsurge, commencement. In line with this academic year's theme of Outbreak, the UMA community will consider the implications of outbreak in our current moment as well as through a variety of lenses: epidemiology, public health, information science, history, art, and literature, among others. In collaboration with the Plunkett Poetry Festival that explores outbreak through the written word, the Outbreak Project in the Danforth Gallery will consider this year's theme as it relates to contemporary art.
